While these two car companies were planning to appeal to different buyers, they were both operating in 1948 and both suffered their demise due to failed public offerings and lack of capital.
Although fewer Tucker cars were built than Playboys, the Playboy car is currently MORE rare than the Tucker!
There certainly was no shortage of publicity surrounding the introduction of the Playboy car in 1948!
